INGREDIENTS AND THE HEALTH BENEFITS:
Sea salt from the Himalayas: extracted by hand in Pakistan, this sea salt is pink in colour from the trace minerals that are present. trace minerals may help to support balance electrolytes (necessary to regulate and control the amount of fluids in the body).
Garlic: used throughout ancient history for its healing and medicinal purposes, garlic may help to boost immunity and is a source of antioxidants. contains small amounts of manganese and vitamin B6.
Black pepper: black pepper is rich in a plant compound called piperine which is an antioxidant and may be effective to suppress inflammation.
Onion: onions contain high concentrations of quercetin, an antioxidant which is a potent anti-inflammatory, and may also have antiseptic qualities. from the same allium family as garlic, onions are a source of vitamin C, B6 and manganese.
Maitake mushroom: containing beta-glucans that may positively effect the immune to protect the body against of influenza, maitake is a lovely mushroom to support overall health. contains antioxidants, vitamin C, D, as well as copper, potassium and amino acids.
Shiitake mushroom: shiitake mushrooms contain a eritadenine, a compound that reduces cholesterol in the blood. these little mushrooms are also rich in polysaccharides like lentinans and beta-glucans that may protect against oxidative cell damage and boost white blood cell production for fighting off infections.
Thyme: a source of thymol and carvacrol, naturally occurring essential oils that may reduce inflammation in the body. thyme is also a source of copper, iron and manganese.
